Dependent Value / Column

I am using Stimulsoft (2014.1.900) with Silverlight (5.1.30514.0), and cannot get the Dependent Value / Column section to work.
Can you let me know if it is a bug, or is it just something I am doing wrong.
(I am filtering on a string and not a number)
