Print - ServerError:The report is not specified.

Post by sajeevsl »

The report runs fine but when we try to print, gives error as "ServerError:The report is not specified.".
This is not happening locally or on staging or testing server. But only on production environment.
What could be the reason for this happening only on live environment when the environment for staging and live are exactly same and have the same code base deployed.
This is MVC project.

Hello,

Please clarify, do you use multi-server on the production environment.
If yes, please check the following article about caching:

Thank you.

Hi Lech,

I'm having a similar issue "Error! The report is not specified." when loading a report. However the report then loaded correctly after a few seconds, and error pop up still displays until I click on "OK".
There's no exception or error caught on the server side.

Can you please help me with this issue? Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
Claire

Hello.

What version of our product do you use?
Could you upgrade to the latest build?

Thank you.

Hi Stimulsoft team,

I got the same error: "The report is not specified"'
My report engine version is V2018.1.5.0.
I was given a workaround to add "AllowAutoUpdateCache="False" into the ViewRepV1Html5.aspx file <ccl:StiWebViewer...
the workaround was given to resolve the issue with "no data when saved from the report".
After applying this workaround I could see this error, however, if I removed the "AllowAutoUpdateCache="False", then the "The report is not specified" is gone, however the saving data issue still exist.

Please suggest,
Thanks,

Hello,

Please send us a sample project which reproduces the issue for analysis.

Also, please check the last release build.

Thank you.

I attached a sample report, on my client's environment, the issue happens to every report, by executing the report and wait around 10 minutes then navigate to the last page.
However within my environment, I never reproduce the issue.
