Hi,
Is there a way to minimise the height of cell 'B' in the attached screenshot?
I'm using the property 'Processing Duplicates' to merge cells and finding that there is unnecessary space that could be removed.
In the project the first cell has long/wrapped text. This normally causes all row heights to increase (as expected).
When the first column cells are merged (cell 'A'), the first cell in the 'group' on the 2nd column ('B') keeps it's original height. Note however cell 'C' is able to minimise its height (this does require 'Processing Duplicates' = 'Merged based on Value and Tag' for some reason).
These post helped with reducing the space in cell 'C'. But it doesn't help with cell 'B'.

Hello.
There is a solution for your issue but not for the first row.
Please, check the attached report template.
Thank you.

Re: Grouping in a table - additional space remaining from Me
Hi HighAley,
Thanks for the reply. I noticed that sample report in one of the links I referenced. This is doing the same as with my sample and shows the same issue with the first row (attached), as you said it would. I guess it's as good as I can get.
Q: why is 'Merge based on Value and Tag' (the Value option) needed to reduce the height of all but the first row? I'd have expected 'Merge based on Tag' to be enough. I ask because there seems to be an issue with this option in some cases (I'll post separately).
Chris
