Refresh barcode control from variables

Hi!
I try to place a QR-Code on the top of the first page. The values for generating the QR-Code are provided by variables which are filled later on the following pages.
I know there is an option to "process at end of report" for text-fields. But this is not possible for a barcode-field.

If I place the QR-Code at the end of the report it works fine, because all the variables are filled.
I tried also using a sub-report and place it on the first page, but it didn't work either.

I am sure there is a solution for this problem, but I could not find it...
