StiMainMenuService obsolete

We have been using StiMainMenuService to show our own AboutForm and ProductHomepage. We upgraded to the latest version of reports.net (2019.3.5), where this class is marked as obsolete. What functionality can we now use to show a custom about dialog?

We do have the same issue. We are using the StiDesignerControl with a toolbar design (which produce additional issues, because of the un-announced removal of the StiToolBarService)

Do you have any documentation or samples around the changed configuration code needed

Hello,

The StiDesignerControl is no longer supported. In the last versions, you should use StiRibbonDesignerControl.

The thing is, that we are using the StiDesignerControl with a toolbar design in our product displaying the report designer in a dockable document scenario. Nothing where you want to use ribbons in. Removing the control and the toolbar based design would force us to re-write our report hosting.

- Why are you removing a core feature without announcing it beforehand?
- Why am I unable to find any documentation about migrating to the StiRibbonDesignerControl?
- Why am I not able to find some notes around breaking changes for each your releases? Anytime we have to upgrade our StimulSoft libraries (because bugs are only fixed in the latest versions!) we have to spend endless time to figure out what breaks our integration this time because of the lack of proper developer documentation.

Do you have any documentation or samples around the changes for StiDesignerControl users in regards to that massive change?

We have decided to return the StiDesignerControl control back. In the version 2019.3.6 that will be available in 1-2 weeks this problem will be fixed.
