StiWebViewer print issue in Firefox

Post by Togo »

Hello,

We have noticed that the print button for StiWebViewer (Tested on version 2017.1.10) does not work in Firefox (54.0.1) when the PrintDestination is set to StiPrintDestination.Pdf. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Thanks

Hello, Togo.

Sorry, we can't reproduce the issue on the same version of the Firefox.
Could you send us a sample project that will help us to reproduce the issue?

Thank you.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply, the problem in Firefox has been fixed with the latest version 2017.1.11.
We do have concerns on its performance as it took a minimum of 3 secs from clicking the print button to the Print Dialog appearing and it seems much slower than printing the same report on other browsers, and we would like to know if it is normal behavior.

We have also noticed the same print issues on latest version of StiWebViewer when using Safari (Tested on Safari v10.1.2 / macOS Sierra 10.12.6) with the PrintDestination is set to StiPrintDestination.Pdf and no response is given after clicking the print button. Similar issues could also be observed on latest version of StiWebViewerFx (with only AllowPrintToPdf set to true and AllowPrintToHtml / AllowDefaultPrint set to false) on the same version of Safari.

Thanks

Hello.

Thank you for your feedback.
We need to check the Safari browser.
Do you use the ASP.NET StiWebViewer or JS StiWebViewer?

Thank you.

Thanks for your response, the ASP.NET StiWebViewer is being used in this case.

Hello, Togo.

We have fixed the issue with ASP.NET StiWebViewer.
We need additional time to check the StiWebViewerFx.

Thank you.

Hello

Thanks for the response, may we know if there are any updates on the status for the StiWebViewerFx issue?
Is it possible to make the fixes to the ASP.net StiWebViewer available first if it is still a long way from fixing the StiWebViewerFx issue?

Could you please also comment on the Firefox performance issue? We do receive complaints from our users and we would like to confirm if it is the issue with the browser itself.
