Dynamic Column

Post by jaynner »

Hello,
Our company has recently switched to stimulsoft and we loved it. But we had a problem with the reports which has a dynamic column.
Please refer to the image below.
Image

Based on the image, we would like to set the product type columns according to a certain number of products that has been sold in
a particular week. If we have 3 products then we would have 3 product columns. If we have 7 products then we would have products columns.
The count of product columns will dynamically change depends on number of products we have sold. Now, our only problem is that,
how are we going to display the columns dynamically?

Hello,

You can use the Cross-Data or Cross-Tab components for this task, depends on data structure presented in the report.

Thank you.

Thank you for the respond. I used Cross-Data band and it worked like a charm. But, I have one problem.
The header of the page does not cover the extended page of cross band. Please help Lech.

Hello,

If you know how many product will be in the report you could set the width of the text component manually.
You could do it before rendering or in the Before Print event of the header.
If you do not know the width, you can use additional scripts to calculate the width of the whole cross-data and set the width of the header.
The solution can vary and depends on your real scenario that we don't see.

Send us your report template with sample data if you need more detailed answer.

Thank you.
