Save, Save As.., and Open Issues

Hi, hopefully the following instructions will clarify your questions.

Steps to reproduce report not loading in designer.
1. Restore any missing nugget packages
2. Clean and build application
3. Run application in Debug Mode
4. Select SRDesigner from menu
5. You should see this screen

6. Change the color of the AppUser Title to Red

7. Select File from the menu
8. Select Save As menu item on left
9. Enter RedTemplate.mrt for the file name as follows

10. Select OK
11. Change the color of the AppUser Title to Green

12. Select File from the menu
13. Select Save As menu item on left
14. Enter GreenTemplate.mrt for the file name as follows

15. Select OK
16. Select File from the menu
17. Select Open menu item on the left
18. You should see a dialog similar to this

19. Select RedTemplate from the list
20. Select the Open Report button
21. Behold! No Red Template shows… This is the Issue.
22. What I would like to accomplish is this:

• a. When a report is selected from the list, that report template should show up in the designer ready for preview or editing
  b. How do I change the Save to Save As in the title of the Save As Dialog
  c. How can the saved template be run and displayed in the associated Report Viewer?
