Cannot read property of 'components' of null

I am a brand new user to Reports JS, just installed and running Designer. If I try to add anything (heading, component, text, etc.) to the page I get the error listed in the Subject line above: Cannot read property of 'components' of null

I would add an image if images were properly supported...

Could you specify the version that you use?
Please, try our latest build (2017.1.0.4 from 2017.03.25).

If you still get the issue, please attach the image.

I downloaded Apr 5, whatever version that would be.

I exited and restarted the designer and the error went away.
