space between bars in a bar chart

Hi,
Is there a way that I can increase the space between the bars in bar charts. Please see the attached chart.png. The bars, of the same group, are stacked against each other.
I would like to have the result of the attached valid chart.png

Also, how can I display the border to the bars?
