I have a line chart with <timestamp, value> pairs, where the number of timestamps can be from 40 to 500 and the interval is 3 seconds.
For 40 timestamps, the OX labels are too close and hard to read - please check attached file, summary.mrt.
I tried to set "Area->X Axis->Labels->Step" to 2, but in this case all the points will be displayed, and that is a problem when there are more than 100 points - please check attached image, Labels step 2.PNG.
What else may I try for showing as many timestamps as possible, but easy to read, with more space between labels?
For 500 points and no step, there will be shown just some labels, although there is more space available - please check attached image, Labels for 500 points no step.PNG.
- Labels step 2.PNG (149 KiB) Viewed 888 times
- Labels for 500 points no step.PNG (66.01 KiB) Viewed 888 times
- (98.19 KiB) Downloaded 36 times
Unfortunately, there are no other options.
Could you please take into consideration to improve the display labels algorithm to use the space more efficiently - many timestamps but easy to read?
We have added that task to our to-do list.
Could you please help me with an ETA for the above mentioned task?
Unfortunately, we can not say exactly. Sorry.
