Export to pdf without showing the viewer

Hello,
I'm trying to add a simple button on my angular client, working with .net7 backend, that call a report from the selected document id and export it in pdf format, without showing the viewer.
It's this even possibile?
I have searched through the examples but couldn't find an appropriate one.
