Hello,
We are using Stimulsoft Reports.Web / MVC Dashboard Viewer 2026.3.1 in an ASP.NET MVC application targeting .NET Framework 4.8.
Our dashboard contains two ComboBox elements in the same group, Operations:
• ComboBox1 uses a Structures API datasource and filters its options with a fixed FatherId.
• ComboBox3 uses a separate Structures API datasource, filtered by Level = 4. Its parent filter is derived from the selected Id in ComboBox1.
Our application processes the selection and returns the correct child structures from the backend. The DashboardFiltering response has currentElementGroup: "Operations", repaintOnlyDashboardContent: true, and includes ComboBox3 in pagesArray.
However, the browser does not update or enable ComboBox3 after selecting an item in ComboBox1. Clicking the dashboard’s Refresh button sends a RefreshReport request, after which ComboBox3 works. We have also tried returning all level-4 structures on the initial load; this did not make ComboBox3 update after changing ComboBox1. Clearing the server-side cache for both combo elements did not resolve the issue.
We need to refresh only the dependent ComboBox, not the entire dashboard, because the production dashboard will contain large datasets for charts, KPIs, and other elements. Users should still be able to use the Go button to apply those expensive dashboard updates.
Is this expected behavior for DashboardFiltering? Is there a supported native configuration or API to refresh/re-enable only a dependent ComboBox after filtering, without triggering RefreshReport for the whole dashboard?
Thank you.

Hello,
Please send the dashboard (.mrt file) with test data that reproduces the issue for analysis.
Thank you.

Re: Refreshing a dependent ComboBox after DashboardFiltering without refreshing the whole dashboard
Hello,
Thank you for your reply. We found an acceptable workaround for our use case: users select the values in the ComboBoxes and then click a Go button to apply the filters and refresh the dashboard. This updates the dependent ComboBoxes as expected.
We no longer need to investigate refreshing a dependent ComboBox independently by js, so we won’t send a reproducing MRT at this time.
Thank you for your help, you can close the issue.
