barcode question

When I scanned the barcode created using code 39, it shows extra character at the end ('j', 'p', or 'q'). What might be the cause of the problem?

"010117619" is the data I used to create my barcode.

Please, try to set the CheckSum property of the Bar Code to No.

Have you input the "*" as start/stop character when you create the barcode?
