Wpf Designer: How can I assign conditional background color?

In the condition editor of a text field, I want to change the background color depending on the content of the field. This was easy in WinForms, but I don't see how this works in Wpf. Can you explain? Some buttons seem to be blank...

Just found some more information:
This only happens when

StiOptions.Wpf.LoadTheme = false;
