There is not enough information to reproduce your issue.
We don't need your working project. We need to see any sample project where we will be able to reproduce this issue.

I have just tried to create a small application with a Grid and a StiWpfDesignerControl on it, and... it worked! :shock:

In my application the crash still occurs... I will have to do more research, but this is really, really strange...

I will come back to you.
