Can it be done?

Greetings. A few questions.
Below is a screen shot of a report generated using Crystal Reports v8.5, I have been tasked with reproducing it using with Stimulsoft and using the same data ( an access .mdb file). It seems a little bit out of reach at the moment,

Can it be done in Stimulsoft? If the answer is yes you can you idiot! Then it looks like i will need to spend more time reading the manual and viewing the flash demos again. :dumb:.

If the answer is no, you cant, then my feelings will be a little mixed as I have spent a hair pulling weekend of frustration trying to achieve the unachievable but at least I won't feel like an idiot as is the situation if the answer is yes. .:redeye:

Im not looking to be spoon fed specific instructions but if I can pointed in the right direction then I will be most appreciative. Most likely the answer is in front of my face but I can't see it due to my frustration. The project consists of 4 different cabinets (products), each being displayed with its own sub reports of material, costs, etc.

The report:

Second question.
I have a material being applied to an object of different lengths:

By deleting the lengths column and using the duplicate data command to hide/merge repeated names I am left with this, using the grow/shrink does not help either:

What i want is this:

The way in which Stimulsoft appears to treat length as being related to material means that I have trouble summing the total length for each material type let alone listing the material types. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for any answers to to what could be stupid questions, I am rather frazzled at the moment.

Please see the report in the attachment. This report uses containers for rendering and databands in that containers are related with each other with appropriate relations. You can render this report in the 'Demo' example application from the installation of Stimulsoft Reports.Net.

If you need to suppress repeated rows, than grouping can help you. Please see the second report in the attachment.

Thank you.

Edward, thanks for the reply, the example files were most helpful.

A little constructive criticism.
In regards to the manual, its helpful and unhelpful at the same time. It lacks graduation in the way it provides information, as such I found myself looking for very simple commands and only finding what IMHO were more advanced topics. There is no "wading" into the program. I hope this makes sense. The same can be said of the flash demos. The intended audience might not be simpletons like me, hence, I found Stim Reps.Net it a little arcane. Having said all that, I now find it a very nice product to use.

Look forward to your comments.

Ok, the criticism is really appreciated. In your samples some tricks were used and I believe in future releases of our documentation they will be described in detail.

Please let us know if any help is required.

Thank you.
