Reports.Web Development on Windows 8

I recently posted a problem I was having with Reports.Web on a Windows 8 OS.

http://forum.stimulsoft.com/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=38155

I was wondering if Reports.Web is supposed to be compatible with the Windows 8 operating system for development purposes?

For clarification, I am not trying to deploy the reports to a Win 8 tablet, I am trying to develop the reports on my PC for deployment to a Windows Server 2008 instance.

If it is not compatible, are there any plans to offer compatibility for it in the future?

Hello,

Please clarify which version of Oracle do you use?

Thank you.

I have verified that i cannot create a connection on the Windows 8 OS, possibly due to an incompatibility with the Oracle 12 client. I have installed the Oracle 11g client even though it is not certified on Windows 8. I am able to get a connection with that but i get an "Arithmetic operation resulted in an overflow." when i try to create a data source. Please let me if you have plans to support the 12 client and, if so, when it will be included in a release as this is critical for our development and deployments.

Just an update. I managed to get the reports running on Windows 8 after installing ODAC 11.2.0.3.20 (32 bit) and the Oracle Client 11.2.0.3 (64 bit) which is not supported by Oracle btw. I am now able to create the data source in the designer and am now able to load the designer in a .Net MVC page on my local box. It would still be awesome to have the 12 client supported but if there is anyone like me that needs to be able to do this now, it is possible.
