No trace for single point in "stepped line" series

Many thanks for your implementation of the stepped line series, together with point at centre, it works fine.
However, I'd like to raise an odd point.
If the data only has one point, the trace doesn't get drawn.
The vertical tick line appears with the corresponding time in the centre of the horizontal axis, but no series "flat top".
In my application a single data point is a valid measurement.
I'm assuming the "flat top" would extend to the edges of the char area as there is no duration information, just a single time point.
Hope that's clear?
Many thanks,
Ian
