unable to add xml data source in the Designer when a db adapter is installed

Hi!
I use the Designer.exe application to create reports, each report uses XML or DB data sources (but not both of them in the same report). The problem is when I install the database adapter - in my case Oracle ODP.NET -, I am unable to add XML data sources, the designer always opens the database data source editor. Is there a workaround for my problem or some kind of XML adapter :biggrin: ?

The problem is still present in the prelease version from 8th June. I am unable to add XML data source to XML connection when a database adapter is installed.

We couldn't reproduce this bug.
Please try to delete settings from c:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Stimulsoft\

Unfortunately it did not help. I have tried with the newest prelease build (2011.07.08), GAC updated, still no luck. Could you please look at it one more time? Thank you.

Yes, I removed the AppData\Local\Stimulsoft folder (I use Windows 7 Professional 64bit).
I started the Designer, selected the type of the interface (so the user setting were removed successfully).
Then I tried to add a new connection - the designer showed Oracle ODP.NET Connection too, so the database driver was installed correctly. I selected the XML Data and set the XML and XSD paths.
Then I used right mouse button on that XML connection and tried to add a new data source, but the Designer brought up the SQL data source editor. I attached a screenshot of the situation.

Hello,

Please try to run the Service Configurator from the designer or separately. Then run Synchronize in the Edit menu. Then save.
