How to add vertical text (like version info) on fixed position?

Hello there!

Question: Is it in any way possible, and if so how, to add an unchanging text on a fixed position on a page? To be more precise: What we have in mind is for instance to display a version info of the report for the user, ideally to the left of all the data bands in a vertically aligned field - see attached mockup report, with the spot in question marked in red.

You can try to use a text component with property angle = 90.

Sure, but how would one align a text component with property angle = 90 properly in design mode so that it has a fixed position on the page?

You can place the Text component on the page and then use Link and Lock options (Layout tab)
