Processing Duplicates still leaving empty space

I have an issue where I want to remove the spacing when I hide/remove duplicates.

Currently in my report, I have a table that I'm creating where it is taking information from 2 different databands (Screenshot 2) I am able to connect all of the information together; however, when I click preview Designer is still saving blank spaces.

For example in Screenshot 1, I left the 'Processing Duplicates' to None, so you can see there's a bunch of repeats for 2020 Funding PE/ROW, for the other columns, I put them as either Hide or Remove, but it still leaves a massive gap between the information.

Is it possible to remove these empty gaps?

In short, I have the following:

Apple
Apple
Apple
Banana
Banana

When I hide/remove duplicates - it's displaying

Apple


Banana

I want the output to just be:

Apple
Banana
