Trying to do something similar to viewtopic.php?t=56120

I have a databand with two elements in it, both right aligned and docked, the value on the far right and the currency, to it's left.

I seem to have a problem with the auto width. When a single digit value it's correct, but the longer the number the further away it's placing the currency and it's adding a space to the left of the number?

Worse, when printing it's cropping the cells incorrectly.

Any thoughts?

I'm doing this in 2019.4.2 but seems to have the same behaviour in latest.

I think I've managed to resolve the issue with the spacing, but printing is still cropping characters that display fine on screen.
