Globalization breaks the report

Hello.
The report I've been working on uses a list variable that requests input from user as a filter in a data band. The report is designed in English by default, but it needs to be translated into multiple languages that are supported in the app which the clients use, so the pre-existing cultures don't work for them. When no globalization cultures are added it works perfectly fine, but when I add 'ENG' in the globalization editor, it breaks the data band completely. But the fact is, I don't change anything for 'ENG', it's the same as the default but it's like the variable is no longer usable. Is this something to do with 'request input from user'?
Thank you.
