Hi,

In my report, i try to present a text zone on two columns in a header band.

In the capture below, the header band is filled with black rear diagonals, a panel with two columns has been placed on this header band, filled with orange rear diagonals. At last, a blue text zone is placed in this panel. I don't want the header band or the panel to grow, but the text can shrink to fit, but must spread on two columns before.

But I don't have the exepected result. The panel is growing and go below the next bands in my preview. My report is attached to the post.

Please try to set the CanGrow=true for the HeaderBand2 component.

I try your solution, but the result is still not what I expected : I try to apply the same parameter on the panel, but the text is still not spreading on two columns. I forgot to specify that the text can be different from an edition to another.

At last, I found this solution which is not perfect.
I use a second text in my header band, and i use the render to property on the first text, with the propery "shrink font to fit" on both text.
But as you can see, the text shrink to fit only on the second text.
