I am using the current version of Stimulsoft Reports.Web. I have run into some odd behavior and need assistance.

There seems to be a conflict with the dateonly and datetime datatype, particularly in using when using parameters and when passing the variable from User entered parameters. I changed data type in the data tables, but for reasons I do not know the changed data type is not showing in Stimulsoft. It seems to hold the old data type.

I have deleted the columns in the Stimulsoft query and then retrieve them. It still shows the old data type and not the current one. So even though the database type is date it still shows datetime.

What am I missing in the process to get the new data type to the report?

Could you explain your issue in more detail? What data source type are you using? Could you send a sample that reproduces the issue?

I have a report with a data query built against a MS SqlServer database.

- In that report I have edited the query to accept two(2) parameters, DateFrom & DateTo. I have tried various settings but I only want the date to be used so set them as 'DateOnly'.

- When I run the query I get an error that says it cannot accept a DateOnly against a DateTime column.

- I have gone so far as to change the database table datatype to Date datatype.

- I then deleted all the existing columns from the Stimulsoft data query, then retrieved the columns again.

- The columns continue to show DataTime as the datatype. Running the query again fails.

I would like to be able to refresh the Stimulsoft query in a way that updates the datatypes to match those in the database table. I think if I am able to do that I can eliminate the datatype conflict.

I am wondering how to do that?

I am happy to supply a report with data, but what is the process to including the data with the report? However, understand the issue occurs when running the report.

In this same report, when I try to enter a date it shows hh:mm:ss and will not let me enter a date. It will accept a date from the date picker. Is this a bug or is there a setting I need to change. See image
