Issue with Cyrillic characters not displaying in exported PDF from Stimulsoft Reports

Hi everyone,

I’m new here and I’m having an issue with my report generation in Stimulsoft Reports. When exporting a report to PDF, all Cyrillic characters (e.g. Russian/Ukrainian text) appear as blank squares or question marks. In the report preview inside the designer everything looks fine.

I’m using Stimulsoft Reports v2024.4, exporting on Windows 11, and the fonts in the template are standard Unicode fonts (Arial, Times New Roman) that support Cyrillic.

Is there a known issue or setting in Stimulsoft that can cause Cyrillic text to break in PDF export?
Do I need to embed fonts manually or use a special font encoding to ensure correct rendering?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello,

Most of the standard fonts do not contain national characters. In this case, Windows uses the "font fallback".
This algorithm is very complicated and, therefore, is not realized in the exports. To output national characters, please use the font that contains all necessary characters. For example, the "Arial Unicode MS" font contains many national characters.

Thank you.
