Multiplying decimal values

My Statement that isn't working, Please help
{(ContractStaff.CostRate) * 1.06 < (ContractStaff.BillRate) ? "*" : ""}

Please check the following expression:
{(ContractStaff.CostRate) * 1.06m < (ContractStaff.BillRate) ? "*" : ""}
