Infographics in designer

Post by mbarker »

Hi All,

I have recently downloaded the latest release of your tool which I'm using within an MVC project.

I can see on your demo, on the insert tab there are options for Shapes and Infographics that appear next to the Components option, however I don't get these options and I can't find any configuration to enable them?

Is there a reason for the difference in functionality between the live demos and the code in the release?

Thanks!

Hello.

These features were recently added in the 2016.1.13 build from 25 May 2016.
They are not available in the 2016.1 official release.
Please, try our latest prerelease build.

Thank you.

Ahh thanks - I've update to the 2016.1.17 build and the two main tab options are there now. Thank you.

One more question though,

On your blog post regarding the 2016.1 release - https://www.stimulsoft.com/en/blog, under the section for infographics menu, it says "This category includes all the graphics components like maps, gauges and all types of charts. You need just two clicks to add any required data visualization component to the report."

After updating, the Gauge option is present, but grey'd out and the bottom row of map options isn't present at all.

Is this functionality part of the 2016.1 release?

Thanks,
Matt

Hello, Matt.

Sorry, the Maps and Gauges were added in our main product -- Reports.Net.
These components are supported in Reports.Web, but there is no editor for these components yet.
It's possible to create a report with Maps and Gauges in stand-alone Designer (Designer.exe).

Thank you.

Ahh perfect. So I could build the report using the desktop designer and simply use the mrt file inside the web version and it all should just load as normal I just can't use the designer itself in the web version to build it just yet?

Thanks for the answer, that's just fine!

Hello, Matt.

Yes, the .Net report engine is used in both products.
So there is no different in report rendering.
There are just some forms are not ready at this moment.

Thank you.
