Input from user panel

Hi,

When I launch the designer in an MVC webpage, if I click the preview tab, any parameters to be requested from the user are not shown in the panel at the top of the preview, but if a I save the report and launch it directly in preview mode, they are shown. Is this behaviour by design or am I missing a setting jumping from the design to preview?
