Option to automatic kill "infinite loop"

Post by mikemerica »

Hello!

First of all, sorry for my english ;)

We are using stimulsoft reports in web applications, and sometimes, depending of data, reports come into an infinite loop that "break down" the server. I think this is a "well-known" problem of our stimulsoft version (It's a problem with databands and containers, when "canBreak = true" and the container is longer than one page).

The problem is....we can't upgrade to a newer version, so we need to find a way to protect the reports...

The question is: Is there any option to automatic kill or prevent infinite loops of stimulsoft reports?

Thank you so much!

Option to automatic kill "infinite loop"

Hello again!

I have find a "workarround" that we can use for prevent the problem:

Setting the propoerty "Stop Before Print" to a "large enough" value. We think our reports shouldn't be longer than 50-100 pages. So, we can work with this option.

Anyway, if there is a better solution, I'll be glad of use it ;)

Thaks!

Hello,

That is very good - you find the solution yourself.

Have a good day!
