Heavy pictures cause a stop while sending information in the printer queue

Post by alepage »

Hello,

Since last week, some of our customers who use all kind of printers from differents brands (HP, Sharp & Canon for the moment) have some troubles when they want to print their reports.
They choose their printers, and click on the "OK" button, and the viewer becomes inaccessible. If we considere the printer queue, there is only a small file. We have to clean the spooler, and then the viewer comes back to a normal state.
If we modify the report by replacing the picture with the same smaller one, we have no longer the problem.

Do you have any other leads ?

Thanks

Hi,

We don't have many more informations fot the moment.
We actually use the 2017.1.10.0 version.

Thanks

Hi,

I have done some new tests with some our customers, with the designer on build 2020.2.2. It works better.
With the 2017.1.10.0, the problems appear with the last update of Windows 10 from the last week.

The only solution I have found is to reduce the image size before included it in the report.

Hello,

Thank you for the information.
But it is difficult to say something about the issue without a sample. Sorry.

Thank you.
