2020.4.2 Error message prompt non stop for Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Hi, the error message of "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" keep prompting when I call .Design(), add some label, then preview, and press [Close] button at top right [x].
I have to force exit my application to stop the message box keep prompting.

If I press the [Close] button on preview tab, no problem.

Version: 2020.4.2

Note: I'm upgrading from 2018.2.1 to 2020.4.2

Thanks. However are you able to provide workaround to avoid this happen while we are waiting for the release build?

I couldn't revert back to old version meanwhile we has to release our product to clients.
