Question about grouping data

I'm trying to print a report similar to the master-detail with groups report, and I can't seem to get the data to group together. I've tried copying everything from the example report, but the output does not group the data together. Can someone explain what is missing?

The report should group events by date.

Hello,

In the report you sent grouping occur by the {locationScheduleData.dateRanges.displayDate} expression but in attached data the dateRanges has no data. Also you say about the master-detail report but in this report there is only one data band. Could you, please let us know whether this is correct?

Thank you for your reply. We found the error as you did, the dateRanges should have been dateRangeData. Once changed, it worked fine.

Edit: I had a question about loading images here, but I moved it to a new thread.

Hello,

Currently you can only specify URL as text. We will implement support for the URL from the data source in the next prerelease build on December 28.

Hello

I have a report with a simple group . The condition of this group is changed dinamicaly by source code.
I'm trying to set an expression on a text component to automatically show the value of the group condition...like this:

or

{GroupHeaderBand1.condition.value}

or something else....
How can I do that?
Is that possible?

Hello,

Unfortunately, the expression parser does not support the properties of internal components. We are working on this issue. On the current moment you need to specify a data source in the text expression.
