Exporting styles to RTF

Post by fjsen »

Hi,

Is there any way to export the components styles to paragraphs styles when exporting to RTF? If no, will this feature be available in the near future?

Kind regards,

Hi Edward,

There are two main reasons we need this feature:

1- There are many document management systems that are RTF style-based. They use the style information to index the documents.

2- Also, there are many information importers that are RTF syle-based, to identify the element attributes that they are capturing.

These two reasons are key for us. We have clients that need to get style based RTF reports to insert them in their document management systems and we need to reimport the information generated in a RTF report with our syle based import tool.

Kind regards,

I will inform you about progress in this topic.

Exporting styles to RTF

In the build from April, 6 exporting of the styles for the Rtf is realized.

The name of the style is getting from the name of the component in the report template.
The style contains information about properties of the font and about alignment of the font.

Thank you.

Hi Edward,

It would be nice that the style name is gotten from the style associated to the control. If the control didn't have any style associated then use the control name as the style name (like now). We think that people would need (like us) to associate the same style to several controls, don't you?
