CrossTab report in CrossTab

I have attempted to modify the CrossTab settings but could not find a way to add a custom total column.
I tried using expressions to define the custom total, but it did not yield the expected results.
Error Messages: No specific error messages, just incorrect totals.
Has anyone successfully implemented a custom total column in a CrossTab report? Any guidance or code examples would be greatly appreciated!
