Expanding support for HTML tags

Post by szalap »

Hi,

I understand there is already a support for HTML tags on Text component (explained here: https://www.stimulsoft.com/en/documenta ... l_tags.htm), but it is limited to only handful basic tags.

Would it be possible to also cover the items below (even it not all at once, but progressively)?
- <table>
- <img>
- <h1>, <h2> etc.
- <code>
- <input disabled type="checkbox">

Hello,

Unfortunately, no. Only limited tags are supported.

Thank you.

Thank you for the response, Lech.

Is there any plan to support more?

Hello,

There is a task in our to-do list, but we can not say exactly when it will be added.

Thank you.

I understand, still it will be great when they finally land, so there is no need for workaround.

Thanks for bringing <img> tag in with the latest release yesterday :). This is a big deal for us, because being able to embed images in comments is a bread and butter for our users.

Would it be possible to support <table></table> tag in a near future? The simplest example as in here is sufficient: https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_table.asp

The tags that would need to be supported:
- table
- tr
- th
- td

We see this is the only tag we cannot replace really well with other tags or workarounds (it looks really bad with spacings and tabs).
