Export dashboards and components

Have not found a way or if it this is possible yet to export the dashboard pages and then each of the components to the same pdf in code.
Is there an easy way to export just a component in code?

I have determined a way to accomplish this by cloning the pages. Setting enabled to false on the components not wanted. Then setting the top, left, width and height properties on the component.
Might be a nice feature to consider. Sometimes the dashboard image by itself is just a little small and needs the larger component image for clarification.
