Compile Report In Stand Alone Designer

Post by admin@secsol.co.uk »

Hi,

If I am editing a report in the stand alone designer and I change the Calculation Mode from Interpretation to Compilation then nothing shows in the preview.

I assume this is because the report has not been compiled - how do I force the report to be compiled in the Stand Alone designer?

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry, maybe we did not exactly understand your question. Could you explain your issue in more detail?

When the report is set to Compilation the preview is blank.
It works with the report set to Interpretation.

Hello,

Please send us a sample report with test data that reproduces the issue for analysis.

Thank you.

I have attached a report here.

Even with no data for the business object if the report is set to Interpretation it shows as the attached screen shot.

When set to Compilation the preview is blank.

Hello,

That's correct. In the Interpretation mode, our parser works, and many errors that occur in compilation mode are simply ignored. In the Compilation mode, the report must be error-free; otherwise, it will be an empty page.

Thank you.
