Disable CheckSum Digit in Code39 BarCode using Event Progamming

Hello,

I am trying to disable some checksum digits in some Code39 barcodes. I am aware they're enabled by default. However, I'm using an official version embedded in a different application and the CheckSum property was removed in an update that was given to this software company. I would still like to disable this checksum somehow. Is there a way to do it in an event? Disabling for the whole report at once would be nice, but I can also do it at the item level. Whatever works!
