Hi,
I have several reports that were created using Stimulsoft version 2013.2, and I would like to upgrade to the latest version.
Are reports designed with this older version still compatible with the newer releases of Stimulsoft? Is there a straightforward way to migrate my existing reports without having to redesign them from scratch?
I'd appreciate any advice or recommendations from anyone who has gone through a similar upgrade.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Compatibility of Reports Created in Stimulsoft 2013.2
Hello,
Yes, reports created in older versions (including 2013.2) can be opened in the latest version.
Report templates (.mrt) are backward compatible: the newest Designer and the report engine load old templates and convert them automatically when you open or save them. Redesigning the reports from scratch is not required.
Recommended steps:
Update the Stimulsoft assemblies/packages in your project to the latest version and update your license key.
Open the templates in the new Designer, check them, and save them. The templates will then be saved in the new format. Note that a template saved in a new version may not open in an older one.
Render the reports and compare the result with the old output: check the pages, the fonts, the calculations, and the exports.
If any report looks different after the upgrade, please create a new topic and attach the template with test data, and we will help.
Thank you.
