Regarding footer/header and page footer/header

Post by Naveen Aggarwal »

Hi !

I have been using stimulsoft for quite some time now and no doubt its a great product.
I have some queries regarding footer band and page footer band.
1. Is there any way to decrease the distance (gap) between page header and data band when the report is rendered. I have observed that some space is automatically inserted between the two even when its not required.
2. I have a report which has both footer band and page footer band. I inserted an empty band between data band and footer band so as to extend a vertical line. To my surprise the vertical line which i included on empty band got printed after the footer band i.e. between footer and page footer. Is there any way to control or its the normal behaviour.

Thanks in advance !!

Can you please send us sample reports with data which reproduces this issues.

Thank you.

1) Im not exactly sure what is this gap you speak of. Are you talking about the gap on top of the band title? You can remove those by turning off the option that says "Show Headers". The bands will get close to each other, similar to the way it will print.

2) The footer will always go after the databand, same way as the header will go before the databand. Thats a little difficult to understand at first but you will get the hang of it.

Headerband
Databand
Footerband

If you make another Header, the next footer you make will go after it.

So, if you want to drop a black line after the databand was printed, you can simply use a footerband for that.
