Multiple column data band not printing down then across

I am in the process of creating reports that have three columns in the data band and want it to print down then across. The report is printing in three columns but when I select the "Down then Across" option it still prints across and then down.

Am I missing a setting or is there something specific that has to be in place before that will work? i.e. Does the data band have to be part of a sub report?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Which version and build of Stimulsoft Reports do you use?
We have tested your report on the latest build and report work correctly.
Please check the latest prerelease build or last release 2011.1 and let us know about the result.

I don't see a help menu to gather that information. Is there another way to determine what version and build we are using from the front end?

So when you run the report, it lists the values in alphabetical order from top to bottom? That's what I'm looking for, but even with the column direction set to Down Then Across it still prints in alphabetical across and then down.

Hello,

You can see the version of our product in the designer,
Office2003 UI - Main menu -> Help -> About
Office2007/2010 UI - 'About' button on the right part of the Main menu

When I tried the sample report you sent I still got the same results as I had with my report. It is still reading in numerical order from left to right, but I'm wanting it to read in numerical order from top to bottom.

i.e. For the example you gave (I have shortened the count to 10 for brevity)

Your sample report (in both footers) and my existing report read as:

1 2 3
4 5 6
7 8 9
10

What I'm looking for is for the report to run the data in the first column from top to bottom and when it reaches the bottom of the page, it goes to a new column. For the example of what I'm looking for I'll do it with the assumption that there are 5 rows per page:

1 6
2 7
3 8
4 9
5 10

Is this possible?
