repeat dsplay data sideways

I was wondering if there is a way to make a data band repeat data horizontally rather than the default vertical. If there is a way instructions would be much appreciated.

default display

items
cup
chair
table

new intent

items cup chair table

is there a easy way of doing this with a data band?

To do that do I use the cross tab then put a data band on top of it?

Is there a special way to get the cross bands to work. On my report designer the cross band icon on the left side will not let me click it or use it. I have searched the manual through and couldnt find anything about it. Thanks again for any help!

We have implemented support for Сross-bands in the Reports.Fx for Flex, the update will be available for the release 2012.1 in March.
