Compressed printing in Web Viewer Problem?

Post by csitol »

I'm using the Web Viewer to display a report. When the user clicks on Print Without Preview and goes directly to the printer the result is compressed print. It looks like it's reducing the size about 20-30%.

If I look at the settings for the page in the CompiledReport.Pages[0] values everything appears to be set properly. Height = 11, Width = 8.5 and PageSize is Letter. If I print to PDF first, it's perfect.

I'm using the 2008.1 trial version. The display on the screen looks good. Any suggestions of what I might be doing wrong?

It appears there may be a couple of items that have been fixed in the 2008.2 version. Is it possible to get a copy while still in trial mode? I'm waiting for approval to purchase the product.

Thank you for all your help!

All your steps are absolutely correct. If you need to print in Web, then Pdf is the only possible way to make the printouts in 100 per cent look as in preview window.
Unfortunately we can not control the process of printing from the Web browser, because in that case the report is represented as a Html code and its appearance
depends on the browser-specific settings, dimensions of the window. In other words we do not know the way how the browser can make the unchanged layout of the page from the preview.

If you have any questions please feel free to ask.

Thank you.
