Date Format Problem

In some of the reports we are facing date problem.We are formatting the date as dd-MMM-yyyy but instead of displaying the date as 02-Jun-2008,it is showing 02-Jun-0008.

Please provide us with in detail, how such result could be achieved. Are you receive date from string or from DateTime Column or variable?

We are receiving date from DateTime column of the database.
