Editing Chart Series overwrites Chart Brush

Post by jay@bplogix.com »

I have a chart which I customized the background color, transparency, brush, border etc. The problem is that whenever I double click on the chart to edit the series data, it overwrites my customizations for the chart with the original defaults.

How do I prevent this so my changes to the chart are not overwritten all the time?

Thanks

The chart property under 1. Chart Allow Apply Style must be set to "False"
otherwise the style is being implemented

Hello.

By default the Allow Apply Style property is set to true. If you change the an appearance of the chart, you should set it to flase.

Thank you.

I have set the main Chart properties 1. Chart->Allow Apply Style to False. But it still overwrites my changes to background color, transparency, brush, border etc when I double click on the chart to edit the series.

Is there a different Allow Apply Style property?

Hello.

There is a number of the Allow Apply Style properties. It's in the Chart - Area, Chart - X Axis, Chart - Y Axis, Chart - Legend and so on.
You should set an appropriate Allow Apply Style property. We now about this inconvenience but have no a good solution yet.

Thank you.

I changed all of those (and many more that I found) to false ... but the same results. Any time I edit a chart series it overwrites all of those settings.

How can I customize the colors of a chart without losing my changing every edit?

thx

Sorry, but we couldn't reproduce your issue. Could you send us a step-by-step instruction how to reproduce it or it's better to see a video with the problem.
Which version do you use?

Thank you.

I attached a simple sample which reproduces this. Basically I set every Allow Apply Style to False that I could find. The chart has a transparent background.

Simply double click on the chart, then hit X on the popup. Notice that the chart lost all the syles (border, transparency, background). How do we ensure that the customizations to the chart are maintained?

thx
