Last page PageFooterBand has reserved space for all pages

I have a quite large PageFooterBand to display some summary data only for the last page. I've set the "Print on" property to Only Last Page, and Can Grow, Can Shrink to true. Somehow the space for the PageFooterBand is reserved for all other pages too. So I ended up with a large empty space on all other pages.

Is there any way to make the footerband space collapse for other pages?

It's a peculiarity of this feature. Please, use report summary in this case.
