Select objects in Band via mouse-rubberband

Post by ChrDressler »

Hi,

if I try to select some objects via the mouse d&d, the mouse moves the band, not the rubberband. :?
Is there a trick for selecting many objects in a data-band?

Please, try to click on the page out of the band or press Ctrl button to make multi selection.

Thank you.

Hi Alexey,

i know the "click out of the band" and the Ctrl-combi.
But: if I have a array of 31 textboxes side-by-side in 5 lines (e.g. a calendar), and I wish to select textbox # 10-20, I have o probem:
- If I click out of the band, the rubberband marks textboxes 1-9 also
- ctrl + click for de-select is very slow an troublesome

I would be nice, if you create an rubberband-feature, that not marks the object under the mouse:
- Ctrl+Shift + Mousedown
- middle mousbutton

Best regards

Hello,
I have the same complaints from our report designers, that they have no reasonable opportunity to select more components using mouse moving. They say that working with actual selection is too slow and really faulty....
Would be fine to have possibility for example select with moving mouse with Shift+RightMouseKey only objects which are inside of selection area.
I am sure, that this improvement could increase usability of this tool....

Hello,
it is really pitty.... because I see on your interface, that it must be simple modification.... but I understand, that modification must be done on all UI types....
Ok, we will try to do some workaround to have this feature...
