Output a document

Post by richierich »

One of our clients have asked us to create a report which is based on a pre-defined document, some of the text will be bold, some will have bullet points, and some will be a larger font.

I was hoping to be able to define this text in the same way as I can whilst typing into this box.

I've added a textbox to my report, and checked the 'Allow HTML Tags'.

When I click on the three dots next to the 'Text' field, I can enter text, including the <b><i> tags, but when previewed, it just shows them as I typed them in.. although when I preview as PDF, they appear correctly.

However, when I go back in to edit the text, the tags have gone, and the tags are actually rendered, but are then lost as soon as I type something else.

Either I'm doing something wrong, or I'm taking the wrong approach. Is there a better way of achieving what I'm trying to do? I've read somewhere a mention of RichText (RTF), but can't see anything in the documentation.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks
Rich

Hello, Rich.

Could you specify at first which Designer and version do you use?
Could you send us any sample report template which reproduces the issue?
Is it possible to see a video with your issue?

Thank you.

HI Aleksey,

I can do a video no problem. How can I find out which version I'm on from the designer?

Where should I send the video?

Thanks
Rich.

I've just tried to attach my video, but it says that the extension AVI is not allowed.
